Honey Moon

Hey, Were back!

On our wedding night and the night after we spent it at the Anniversary Inn in SLC. The room was a surprise for me and as we got to the door I saw the plaque that said Phantom of the Opera. It was a beautiful room! I especially love the bathroom because of the big jetted tub!! anyway...we had fun in SLC. On our Third day married we went to my nephew Tayter-Tots baby blessing and spent time with family. It wasn't until we had been home a week when we went on our Honey Moon.

First on Monday we drove to Las Vegas and stayed at the Palace Station Hotel in a very nice room with a king size bed! We went down the strip that night and watched the Bellagio fountain show. Only to come back tired and thirsty.

Tuesday we drove to our hotel in California right accross from Knotts Berry Farm. That night we ate at Dennys and went shopping for food to last the rest of the time we were there. We ended up playing around in the Wii section on the little test game thingies.

Wednesday we woke up early and drove 9min to Disney land! Yippie!!! The first ride we went on was Space Mountain and for some reason I got scared on the ride(see the pic below..hehe) Somewhere along the way we decided to try every ride at lease once. A few attractions were closed for the day like Pirates of the Caribbean, and the Haunted Mansion. Splash Mountain was closed a few times too. Which reminds me we saw Whinnie the Pooh and Tigger! I wanted to get a picture with Tigger so bad but then they left so we decided to go back later and get that picture which we did. I think our favorite rides were Splash Mountain, Space mountain, and Indian Jones. Near the beginning we got buttons that said Just Married, so all day we had people saying congratulations. Also when we sat down to eat we were sang to! After the parade we went on the Indiana jones ride again and again and again. haha then we decided it was time to go home. Wow it was a great day!

Thursday we went to Huntington beach and boogie boarded, drew a heart in the sand and went to the hotel and sat around almost the rest of the day playing Farkle. In the evening we decided to go to a Koren restraunt ( Mitch served in Korea) wow it was expensive but so worth it. In the middle of the table is a metal domed frying pan and they just set the food on that and it cooks on it in front of you and you just eat it right off of it. mmmm wow it was so delicious!!! I wish they had places like that in UT.

Friday we didn't know what to do so we looked up the prices for Knotts Berry farm and went there during the twilight hours, but they closed early that day so we only got to be in the park for 2 hours.... Luckily there was like no one there! We would get on a roller coaster and when it was done we would just sit there and go again. Man we had a blast. Not all the rides were open, but there was one called the Exellerator. It would just blast you off and you go straight up then straight down and back around then stops. Mitch did NOT want to go on it but I did. it looked scary. once we went on it Mitch was the one that kept wanting to go again and again. Finally we had to stop though cause the park was going to close. I jumped on one more coaster before we headed out but Mitch did not join me cause he does not like the one I went on. It's the kind that is a tower, it takes you up and then drops you.

Saturday was spent driving home.  We had a great time on our honey moon!!!!!!!!!!

Eternity

On the day we got married everything went smoothly and perfect.

We met at the Temple and I got to sit in the Celestial room with my soon to be husband... Once in the sealing room I could not stop smiling. It was such a wonderful experience to have family there especially when my family all came over to us and told Mitch not to drop moms casket when she dies. Out side we took pictures with our families it was so hot, Mom went in side with grandpa so I only have one pic of her. we kept loosing people cause they would wander off. Eventually we got to leave, and Mitchel and I left in our car but there was really bad traffic down by our house so it took us a long time to get home.

For the reception we ended up getting there late, and some guests had already arrived! So we slowly started a line and would talk to people. By the time we were ready to start the dancing and introduce the party, I was informed that mom got Sister Goulding to watch grandpa so she was on her way. I decided we wouldn't start without mom!! Eventually I began to worry and decided to walk over to the outer hall/ door and to my surprise there was mom just barely arriving. Good the party can start now. I pulled her in and she went to dad and then the party started.
It was a spirtual experience for us. as mom explains it.  Sister Gouldings Charity, Moms Hope, and My Faith all played a part in her getting there. And I am so glad we waited for her, and that she was able to come.

The party was intoduced, We had our first dance, and then Daddy Daughter dance which I ended up crying at the end. I was so happy to see everybody dancing and having a great time!! We danced to YMCA, chicken dance, line dance, etc. When we cut the cake we shoved it in each others faces!!! that was super fun. Mitchel stepped on my toe at some point and it started to bleed but all was well. I threw the bouqet and my niece Sydney caught it. Mitch threw the Garder and his brother Kade caught that. As we walked to the car everyone blew bubbles. We started to drive away when I thought I heard something in the back and the sunviser cover was all spread out in the back, then suddenly Kade popped up and surprised us! it was funny, but we kicked him out and headed out to the Anniversary Inn for our wedding night.

Our day could not have been more perfect. It did have some parts that were not so perfect but we choose to not let anything get us down and that is why it is so perfect. It was a beautiful day.
Thank you to everyone who helped out in any way and for those who came, It could not have been perfect without you.

Love Mitchel and Tori Shira
