I love working for Dowdle Folk Art. Although we are just long term temps I love the people who work there and I love being able to help out.
For the past month or so we were preparing for the busy Christmas season. Theey rented a bigger space two buildings down and moved all the puzzles there. We built big displays and filled them with so many puzzles to send to Sams Clubs and Costcos all over America. So a few weeks ago Mitchel and I worked from 8am-10:30pm or 7am-10:30pm for a whole week, it was crazy! We even worked on two saturdays one all day and the other just in the morning calling Sams Clubs. (which I've enjoyed)
After that busy week I went back to doing UPS/ online orders, we had so many because of christmas, so It was fun to be able to see how much we sent out at the end of every day.
I've also enjoyed being able to see al the old puzzles and the brand new puzzles.... even the puzzles that are in the process of being made! This christmas they had several new puzzles, some of my favorite are Aztec Calandar, Pikes Market, Puerto Vallarta, and New Orleans. Oh I also found out that in the Gingerbread house puzzle(older one) the houses were painted after a house in midway that my great great grandpa JOHN WATKINS built. several other puzzles of his also have this in it too.
I'm so greatful to have had the chance to work there.
