Astro Van

So today we said goodbye to the van. The van has been in the family since a couple months before I was born. It has served us well.
The van took us many places and serviced a lot of people including Foster siblings and Friends. This Van has been through a lot including us sisters each learning to drive, was stolen and then found in Salt LC, took us on trips to Cody WY to see Grandpa, and helped Mitch and I move a couple of times.

For me personally I have lots of memories of driving my friends to and from school while blasting our favorite music! Taking my best friends and I around town and going to science fairs with another best friend. Going on dates, and going to the ice rink in the early mornings.

In the end it would die sometimes on ya, only one window could roll down successfully, the AC didn't work, the electronic locks only worked if the door was closed and it only unlocked the door, at one point of time if the head lights were on the dash lights didn't work.

Well here is my post about the van I grew up with. If you have any memories you'd like to share feel free to blow up the comments on this post.

8 MONTHS

Lydibug is now 8 months old and is learning really fast. She learned how to take the plugs out of the outlets and she knows how to unplug the tub.

She has had almost every baby food out there, meaning veggies and fruits, grains, and chicken. We are still working on the other meats. She loves fresh strawberries, PICKLES, yogurt melts, and yogurt juice. She does not like apples, or pears.

Currently she has four teeth and the fourth just cut through. She does not sleep well at night and never has even between getting her teeth. Her night routine consists of bath, prayer, book, and music while I feed her and rock her to sleep. Mitch and I would really love it if we could get her to sleep by herself, with out the rocking and feeding. We are taking any advice and yes we did try lavender oil and it did not work, also we are not fans of the cry it out method because we don't agree with letting her sob.
Two of her favorite things to chew on are a small empty bottle of baby shampoo, and the tube of orajel. Also she enjoys throwing a small yellow ball and then going after it. She also really loves Baby Signing Time and the only video of baby Einstein that we have.

Her favorite thing to say is dadadada and blow raspberries. Recently she loves to pull her self up to a standing position, and a couple weeks back this month she walked along the couch to get some ice cream it was so exciting!!!! I like to put yogurt melts along the couch and she will walk to each one and eat them. We are so happy for her to reach this milestone.
