Sleep Training

My sister asked me if I wanted to try a sleep training method at the same time she was trying it with her little one and we were all for it. It has been a couple weeks now since we started the sleep training with Lydibug and so far it seems to be going great.

I'd just like to share with you what the steps are in case you would like to try as well.

The Baby Sleep Solution
by Suzy Giordano "The Baby Coach"

Step 1. Feeding During the Day: Every 4 hours, 4 times a day for 12 hours.
Step 2. Feeding During the Night: Gradually eliminating all night feedings for 12 hours.
Step 3. Sleeping During the Night: Sleeping or resting quietly in bed for 12 hours.
Step 4. Sleeping During the Day: Sleeping or resting quietly in bed for 1 hour in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon.

We were able to do step one within 3days because she was already eating every 3 1/2 hrs. Now we are on step 2 and so far it has not been easy. I can't wait until she sleeps through the night.

9 MONTHS

She's growing up too fast!!!
Lydia weighs 17lbs 7oz and is 28 inches tall

This past week we moved Lydibug to her own room and so far the night time awakenings are still a ton.

She knows who her mama and dada are and knows how to call for us both. She points at things and appears to be saying Whats that. One day she will be a good kisser because she is really quick at learning how to use that tongue, she just started to click her tongue and it is the cutest thing to hear.

For a while now Lydibug has mastered transferring from different furniture, but the most exciting news is that our little one will be walking on her own soon. Just a couple days ago she took 4 steps between Mitchel and I. She just needs to learn to stay off of her tippy toes, they tend to get in her way. We are so EXCITED for her to be walking, I'd love to get her some squeaky shoes to see if that will help. With her new found skill she has been trying to reach new heights, so more stuff is having to be childproof and moved away from her reach.

Lydibug has tried some baby meats and she doesn't really like them, they are a little too thick for her liking and she is not fond of the taste either. I got her a new type of sippy cup and she finally got the sucking thing down even though she occasionally still chews on it. All that's left to figure out is to tip it up so she can get more.
