Halloween

We had a great time around Halloween!!
Just before Halloween we went as a family to the American West Heritage Center here in Logan.
First we got our wrist bands and went to the pony area, Lydia was scared at first but we calmed her down and in the end she LOVED the ponies!!

We also went on a mini train ride, a giant slide, and last of all a corn maze.
Mitch had us go in the maze through the exit and once we were all the way in we started asking Lydia which way to go. She led us in circles for a quite a while before we took over again and got out. It was so much fun doing something as a family!!
We took Lydia to Mimis house and went back so we could go through the haunted forest. There was lots of screaming and a little bit of running!! At the end we had a little snack and headed out to get lydia! That was the best Halloween fun I've had in a long time!!

On Halloween day Lydia and I went trick or treating at a local grocery store. They gave out chocolate milk, string cheese, cookies, toothbrushes, apples, and juice. Next we went to the mall, met up with her friend Tristan and got a couple of candies.
We waited for Mitch to come home and started heading out, we were not out long and decided to only hit one street in our ward but Lydia still got lots of candy.

Summer fun

Mitchels brothers came for a visit and we went up the canyon for sunday dinner. We all enjoyed each others company and Lydia had a blast playing with her uncles and getting to be outside.
She helped gather firewood and helped us eat hot dogs and marsh mellows. She also enjoyed bossing Ty around.

My mom also came for a visit. Lydia absolutely loved spending time with her and she would freak out anytime she thought grandma was leaving her. We went to the mall and the park with grandma and before she left we had dinner at the Center Street Grill, that's where Mitchel works. We sure enjoyed her visit and hope to see her again soon.

New Job

I finally found a job here in Cache Valley. I was starting to get discouraged, and couldn't believe it when they called to say I got the job. This job is literally a blessing!!! Right now I'm usually in the morning on food prep or fry prep, sometimes in the early afternoon on the fryer or shift lead (Barista). I also love doing the drive thru and front counter too, so I guess I just love doing it all.

This is a brand new business that just opened this summer in Logan, the guy behind the idea is about 25 yrs old and is pretty neat. I love the idea of this business and I just really hope that they go far. They have already been asked to franchise!

At my work you can get brownies, cookies, and waffles, As well as French fries, and Soda.
They have endless soda options!! You choose a soda, choose a syrup flavor or puree/ creamer, and then fresh mix ins!! My favorite drink is the Fizzy Float, it's like a root beer float without the ice cream.
They also have many french fry options!! Pick a size of french fry, Choose plain fries or a seasoning, then pick from the many sauces they have. My favorite is Salt and Vinegar fries dipped in BBQ Fry sauce or the Zango Mango sauce. You can turn it into a meal and get Chili cheese fries, Canadian Poutine (gravy and cheese curds), or Bacon cheese fries.

Any ways I just wanted everyone to know that I am enjoying this job and things are working out really well with the babysitter/s. I was really worried to be leaving Lydia behind, I didn't want a job because I wanted to be a stay at home mommy. Now that I have a job though I've been feeling much better. Usually I just work in the mornings or afternoons when Mitchel is at school. Lydia is with the sitter normally for one hour at most three so I don't feel to bad about leaving her and any time possible she is with Mitch and I.

Ok rant complete!

Trail mix

So here is a mix of little happenings in our life.

Lydia started going to Nursery and has been doing very good. She has only complained about us leaving once.

Lydia likes to dress up.....

There was an awesome thunderstorm, so we turned all the lights off and listened to the thunder and watched the lightning from the porch. after a while we took Lydia out to play in some puddles. She really enjoyed jumping off the couch into the pillows the most though, while listening to thunder....

We went up the canyon for family home evening and walked along a trail. Lydia loves being outside!!!

With help from my mom I got the bathroom set I really liked.....

Lydia got a yeast infection a while back and was being treated for that. Right around the time that that was going away she got boils from a neighbor friend who had one too. I felt so sad for the poor thing. She ended up with two. one on her bum and one on her hip. This type of boil is called MRSA and is very contagious, it's hard to treat because it's resistant to common antibiotics

Our area was doing a little safety thing and Lydia got to sit in a firetruck!!! she was scared of the fireman when he dressed up in all his gear.

Lydia is also a very good shopper...

So that's about it... The End.

Anniversary

We just had our 3rd Anniversary!!!

This year we did not go to the Anniversary Inn. :(

Instead we got a babysitter and ate at Olive Garden and saw a movie, the new Planet of the Apes movie!! It was late when we got home so the sitter D'Ana kept lydia over night, She told us that Lydia slept in a toddler bed without any problems at all!!

Mitch got me some roses and a card, I got him the Amazing Spiderman2 and a card. We shared some sparkling cider as always.

It has been another great year with my man!! We keep learning more and more each year as well as overcoming many obstacles!

I love you Mitchel!

Ogden

Our little family invited two of my new friends who are non LDS to go see the Ogden Temple Open house. It was so much fun and we enjoyed it very much. This temple is absolutely GORGEOUS!!!

I know that Temple work is so important and without my temple marriage I would not be able to be with my family for Eternity!  I love going to the temple because there is so much peace there and you feel so close to God and heaven. This truly is important work that we do in these temples.

A Special Day

It was a special weekend for the Shira family because Mitchels mom was getting remarried to an amazing guy.

They got married on Monday July 22nd at the LDS church in Lindon on center street.

I took the camera and took photos of Jeris getting all pretty. She looked gorgeous!!! All I've ever wanted for her was to be happy and I broke down as I was taking these pictures because you could just see the glow of happiness all over her.

Mitchel took over with the camera soon after my pictures. It was a beautiful ceremony and reception. Mark broke down when he saw her and they were all smitten with each other.
We are so happy for these two and their new life together.

Sorry I didn't give much detail, I thought i'd let the pictures do the talking.

I LOVE these next photos that Mitch did...
