Thanksgiving 2015
This thanksgiving we spent it with Mitchels mom in Lindon. They just got a new house and we really enjoyed staying there. For thanksgiving day we had thanksgiving dinner with Marks family, it was so delicious and there were so many enjoyable people. After we went and saw the charlie brown movie with my parents, Lydia loved that movie.

HALLOWEEN
This halloween was fun.
First the girls and I went to the ward halloween party where lydia earned some prizes, then to Lee's marketplace for some trick or treating. Lydia got a little scared in their mini haunted thing and once she saw the exit she started pulling on my arm.
That afternoon my mom came to town and we went and saw Mitchel in his play Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. Following that I took Lydia trick or treating.
We had so much fun!!!!

Daycare
I've always wanted to be a homemaker and be with my kids but at this time in our lives that's just not going to happen. I was working as a manager for a soda shop and was going to quit because I couldn't find daycare but after fasting and praying, a job opportunity came and I got the job.
I now work full time at a daycare and get a discount for lydibug being there. So we get to go together and I"m loving that. They do not have room right now for the newborn, she is currently being watched by family until she can get into the daycare.
We are so grateful for blessings!

1 MONTH
We are so in love with our little Yoda (Nickname from dad because she grunts a lot like yoda).
This month she has developed a very strong little neck and has tried to smile. She is an observant little one and hardly ever cries unless she's being put in the car seat, that's when she will scream at you for a min. She is not too big a fan of her sister but that's probably because Lydibug gives her too much tight loving.

Eden's Story
Tuesday July 7th I had a doctors appointment and had my membranes stripped, I was already at 3cm and 70% effaced thinking that I would be pregnant for another week. Upon returning home I told Mitch how the appointment went and then started to read articles on other women and how fast labor started for them after having the membranes stripped. Not wanting to get my hopes up I decided to go on a mommy daughter date with my Lydibug. First we went for a walk/ she rode a small push bike, this was a long walk because Lydibug led me all over our apartments. When we were done we went and got some ice cream!! I was so tired when I put Lydibug down for bed around 8:30, so I decided to go to bed early too.
Mitchel came home and I woke up around that time, came out of the room acknowledged him (he was on the phone) and I went back to the bedroom. Shortly later I felt back pain followed by a cramp (menstral like). I wondered if that was a contraction and pulled out my contraction counter/timer, sure enough I had another one and another. This all started around 1AM and continued 5-6 min apart lasting roughly 50 sec. So I went to the living room and told Mitch he should come get some sleep because the contractions started. Through the night he held my hand so I could have something to squeeze if I needed. At one point around 5 Lydibug came in asking for something and I went to help her but told her to wait a second (I was having a contraction) she noticed I was uncomfortable and climbed up and kissed me, it was so SWEET!
So here we are it's WEDNESDAY JULY 8TH and it's 6:40 something in the morning and they are becoming very painful! I call my mom and decide to wait a little longer before we go to the hospital, but soon they are starting to be 2-3 min apart and hurt like crazy so I tell Mitch to call Sheri and have her come watch Lydia while my mom is on her way. I call mom and make sure she comes RIGHT NOW! While waiting for Sheri I get dressed and make sure we have all the last min things like chargers and shoes. We saw Sheri pull up so we kissed our sleeping Lydibug and I took off for the car not waiting for Sheri to come to the door. I was ready to GO!
RIGHT BEFORE WE LEFT FOR THE HOSPITAL.
Mitch and I arrived at Labor and Delivery about 8AM and are admitted. Getting all gowned up and checked by the nurse (who wasn't very gentle) I was 4CM and 90% effaced. Now the waiting game....
While waiting I chewed on grape flavored Ice and Mitch sent a stupid dubsmash to family of me saying "I'm having a baby" and the nurse set me up with an IV for testing Positive for Group B strep. For this labor I wanted to go without an epidural or at least try to go as long as I could without asking for one. Well I definitely lasted longer with this birth and asked for one but I had to wait awhile because there were a lot of mammas giving birth that day (they said the most they ever had! or something like that, must have been the drop in air pressure from the storm) that wanted one too.
When the guy finally came in and stuck me with the needle I was so relieved and comfy again. This time around my legs were numb but not so much so to where I couldn't move them myself. I want it this way next time because I had more control!
My doctor had wednesday off so a different lovely doctor helped us out and she was great! She came in just after 10 to break my water and I was already at 6CM!
Not much longer after that my right side was starting to hurt so I asked my nurse if it was time to lay me on that side, she helped me and then left. The pain didn't subside so I called her back in and asked for another dose of epidural, She said that was fine and we pushed the epidural button. Well that didn't work either and I informed her I still feel pain, she said sometimes that could mean that I'm 'full', so she checked my cervix again. She laughed and said 'Your full'.
Next thing we know she runs out and is calling people on her walkie talkie and our room is filling up with people. The doctor came in and threw on her protective gown, threw the lights on and I was suddenly being told to push. I was like "right now?" It was all just happening so fast, the doctor barely had time to even get ready and I"m having to push? Well I only had to push through 2 contractions and our Little miss EDEN JAVAE SHIRA was born at 12:04. (pronounced like jah vey)
The doctor announced "It's a Girl!" and Mitch said "Eden!" and I was thinking "No it's Evelyn".
They put her on my lap, she was all wide eyed and I had my hands all over her slimy body just wanting to hold her!! Mitch cut the cord and the baby's nurse was next to me rubbing her down with a towel trying to get her to take her first breath, we hadn't even heard her cry yet. Well She was just holding her breath so they took her for a little bit across the room and did a CPAP machine and other things to help her out.
Finally! I got to have skin to skin! she immediately started sucking her hand so I started to feed her for the first time!
Later in our recovery room I caved in and agreed to the name Eden, because that's who she is and it fits her. My mom came and brought Lydibug and Sheri. Lydibug was not so sure, she understood it was the baby from my tummy but she was worried because it was pink and it had an owie on it's forehead, she didn't even want to kiss her.
Eden passed all her tests except for hearing which we scheduled another appointment for that and she passed, and the doctors were concerned because I had only had my IV (For group b) for 3 1/2 hours. So they kept checking her for any signs of getting it and on top of that Miss Eden kept holding her breath randomly and she still does.
Our first and only night in the hospital she went from midnight to about 6:30 without eating because I assumed she would cry (we still hadn't heard her cry) but Mitch woke me up and was like "Tori did you feed her last night?!" Any way she doesn't cry, She just GRUNTS!! it's so cute!!!!!! We do hear her cry though when she is first put into the car seat because she does not like it.
We got to bring her home the next day and Lydibug has warmed up to her and loves her so much!!! We all love her SO STINKING MUCH!!!
THANK HEAVEN FOR MY LITTLE GIRLS!!
