Eden has had problems with her ears since she was born; about every two to three months she would have an ear infection. By the time she got to her twelve month doctor appointment the doctor and I decided to have her see the ENT. We were so lucky to be seen by one of my students mother who determined that yes she did need tubes put in her ears, We scheduled the surgery.
On the day of her surgery we were at the Same Day Surgery so early in the morning. Because she was so young she got to be the first patient of the day for Dr. Benion. While we waited Eden walked around in her gown and got smiles from everyone. The Surgeon met us in the hall way where we were walking and took her to surgery. The procedure was only 15 min but it was so long to me!!!! A nurse came back and said that she was down and would be back shortly, I asked how she was doing and they said she is breathing just fine. The other nurse next to me said that means she is crying.
You could hear Eden as they brought her back, They said that babies don't like the Anesthesia so she would be upset for a while. Geeze she was unconsolable so after trying the sippy cup countless times and singing and rocking and everything I just breastfed her and she fell asleep. Her recovery was great just like Lydias and they gave her a little hospital doll to take home.
