Goblin Valley

What a vacation!!! prepare for pictures!!

Friday we packed up our gear, Mitch and his two youngest brothers and one of their friends came with us, that night we drove which felt like forever to find the "perfect" camping spot. We arrived at about 8pm. My favorite part of camping is the stars and camp fire so i was exciting for dusk. Lydia loved the fire and enjoyed talking to it.

Saturday we went to Goblin Valley and spent about 4 hours there. I loved the place it was so awesome!! Lydibug loved the carrier we got and would make sounds to the rythm of the bounce, The kids were running and jumping around with the dog Jynx. Apparently they discovered this place they like to call the Castle and so Mitchel helped me get up there, it was a little tricky but mostly scarey to me just to get there. Very cool place!! We had lunch at the pavillion but the wind was blowing like crazy, So we went back to our camp which was about 30min drive from there.

We rested in the shade of a tree for about an hour and then the boys started playing around while Lydibug and I stayed in the tent playing. That night at 7:30 we went back to the Valley of Goblins to meet up with my mother in law and other brother in law. we had tinfoil steak and potatoes for dinner it was the best steak i've had in a while.

Sunday we had a great breakfast eggs, baccon, hasbrowns, and sausage. Mitchel wanted to hike to a mountain we could see, and go on the Wild Horse Trail. We brought lunch and I was just dying on this hike. The whole time I was ready for lunch. Some of the boys went ahead of us and after about 2hrs of walking they came back and said the mountain was way too far away to keep going. THANKFULLY! so we had lunch and I was again so ready to go back to camp. I know i'm outta shape. Well the boys were up on the mountain next to us and could see camp so they decided to walk on the top back to camp. I was affraid we would go only so far and find out it would just end up being a cliff. In the end It was a much quicker walk and it never dropped. We got back to camp and decided we were all too tired to go to Goblin Valley again. The rest of the day was spent chilling out and playing some games.

Monday, we packed up all of our stuff and on our way out we decided to go to Goblin Valley again but at the last second we changed our minds and drove to the Wild Horse Trail.
Of the entire trip that was the best part. As you walk the trail it gets smaller and smaller.
We were unable to do the whole trail because we had to get home. so right before we came back the boys spider climbed this steep looking nook and at the top found a little pond of water they splashed in.

On the way home we had mexican food to celebrate My mother in laws birthday!

We had such a great trip!! p.s. I lost 5lbs on this trip. yippie
