4th of July

July 3rd Mitchel worked late but I had the car already packed and everything, as soon as he got home at about eleven thirty we put Lydibug in the car and headed to my parents house.
Then early in the morning we woke up and barely made it to Meredeths house on time. We found a spot on the road and waited for Colin to run past us! I sure enjoyed the parade! Lydia still isn't quite at the age to be fully into it but it sure was nice to take her there.

After the parade my friend Carrie came over and had KFC for lunch with us. Then all of us went out side to let the kids play in the sprinklers, I joined in and ended up being more into the sprinklers then the kids. It was tons of fun though playing in the backyard with the sprinklers and the slip in slide!!

That evening Mitch and I spent it with his family, we met them up the canyon for some dinner, and Lydia threw up on her self so she got to run around topless for awhile. Mitch and his brothers had fun in the Provo river. After awhile I went with his mom to the store for snacks and then we met the boys at home and headed to the Provo canyon park to watch the Stadium of Fire fireworks. Upon arrival I noticed Lydibug was stinky and so I tried to change her diaper in the dark. Turns out it was worse then I thought and poop was everywhere, it even got in her diaper cover so Mitch ended up throwing that away.
After the show we waited for people to leave, the guys entertained themselves by rolling down the hill in blankets. They would get so dizzy!
Back at their house we did a couple more fireworks then headed to bed.

We had so much FUN!!!

Also on this weekend trip we took MItchels brother Jace on a blind date with my niece Hailey. Don't no about them but I sure had fun!! We went to the Festival on center street and got some Texas Twisters, did some karate and board breaking, bought Lydibug a skirt, and in the end we got on one of the rides. I though I was going to die!!!!!! those things aren't stable, there not even mounted to the ground! That's what I was thinking.
Last of all we went to Bridal veil falls and it was so much fun and quite refreshing.

Watkins Family Reunion

We have been so busy this summer!!!

Let me start here....

So for my family reunion it was up at my aunts cabin as always. We didn't get to stay long because we had to be back for Mitchel to go to work. I really enjoyed this reunion because they did lots of family history stuff. On the window was a big timeline where you could map out any/as many events in your life that you wanted, they had two boards of the world where you could map where your ancestors came from, and where in the world you served a mission. On another board of america you could map where your family lives and then a big map of Utah to pin point the ones in Utah. Over on the house they made a big family tree with everyones pictures, I though that was really cool.

Mothers Day

We were trying to think of what special thing we could do for mothers day... in the end we decided to go to Utah county and spend it with our Mothers.

Right after two wonderful talks in sacrament we headed to my parents house, upon arrival my mom and Lydibug just took off and read books and spent time together. Mitch, Lydibug and I  were there  for almost two hours before we left to have dinner.

Dinner was spent with Mitchels mom and family at Golden Corral, there was so much family there that we didn't really get to sit with or talk with his mom. After we went to his mothers house to spend some one on one with his mom.

When we returned I talked for a long time with my mom while Mitch was off somewhere and Lydibug was running back and forth between Grandma and I and Papa, she also played with Papa some one on one.
After saying goodnight to Mom I went to put Lydibug to bed but Mitch was kind enough to do that while I read a note he wrote for me. It was so sweet and just what I needed at this time in my life. He listed why i'm a good mother.
Here are some things he said about me.

1. You are unselfish. You put Lydias needs about your own constantly. When she's in need you are always making her needs priority.
2. You are Understanding. Whenever Lydia cries, gets hurt or is expressing whatever she does in many crazy different forms, you are constantly striving to understand her feelings. You are continually understanding.
3. You understand the meaning of SACRIFICE. You immediately give up your sleep when she wakes up crying, you give your time ALMOST EVERY TIME when she wants to read a book, you know when to focus your love on her and not on me.
4. You practice pure love constantly. You don't just love our daughter, you show her your love unfailingly, and that love lives on in her and will pass on to her children.

At the bottom of the note he drew me a rose. haha.

Any way I loved the letter!!! We spent the rest of the evening snacking and watching an episode of Arrow.

I loved Mothers day and am so thankful for the mothers in my life!

A good Mother.

Yesterday I was a good mother... or at least that's how I felt.

The day started with me being very impatient, what a bad start to the day! Eventually the impatience was gone and I was reading over and over and over to Lydibug, made lunch and cleaned it. During her nap I got to relax.

After her nap and a snack we went to run some errands. First to the gas station, second to the pharmacy for my birth control, And third we went to the Library and got a library card, but not only that we got books!
It was Lydibugs first time at the Library and she L O V E D it!! Although she was very loud and didn't understand that she needed to be quite. I am so excited to start a habit of going to the Library with my little companion. When we finished at the Library I made a last min decision to go and visit Mitch at work... which means we have to order a meal. Lydibug really enjoyed visiting dad she spent the whole time smiling at him and pointing at him saying "dad", Mitch was happy to see us and kept making faces at Lydibug.

To end our errands we went to the park and played for quite some time. My little girl was in heaven and it made me so happy.
We ended the evening with dinner and some Elmo, then it was off to bed. I felt so accomplished and like a great mother!!!

Hey speaking of bed. Lydibugs been doing great this past week at going to bed and taking naps, she hasn't been crying. Our routine goes like this. Snack before bed, brush teeth, jammies, scriptures, prayer, then Mitch takes her out on the deck and they say goodnight to the world, bedtime story, she turns her music on, she turns the light out, and she shuts the door. We then cuddle for the first song and then it's into bed. By the end of the second song I'm out of the room.

Oh P.S. before I end this post I just had to share some more mommy favorite moments. Today while I worked out Lydibug watched Elmo and then we read some books together! I then gave her a bath and at theend while the tub was draining she pooped in the tub!! GAH!! We got through it and lived. WE LIVED.

Surprise visit

Back in March before we moved to Logan we made a surprise visit to Grangeville ID. Where Mitchels dad and some brothers live.
We had a great time staying in Kooskia the first few nights at a friends house. We shot off fireworks, I drove a four wheeler for the first time, Climbed a super huge tree to the tree house.

The rest of our stay we stayed in Grangeville. We got to play card games and be apart of my nephews birthday party.

Here are some photos.

Zoo

One day we got bored and so we decided to go to the Willard Park Zoo, it's not as big as Hogle Zoo but we still had fun. Lydibug enjoyed running around and seeing all the different animals. They have monkeys, an Owl, a Hawk, Reindeer, Peacock, Ducks, Swans, an albino Porcupine, Turkeys, Coyotes, Bobcats, Turtles, and tons of birds.
Lydibug loved the Swans most of all!!! She stared at them and followed them as they swam down a little stream.
Can't wait to take her to the Hogle Zoo someday.

Recently we also went to Provo for Mitchels dentist appointment and we go to spend time with both our families. We enjoyed cookies and banana bread at Grandma and Grandpa Hill's house, went swimming with Little Guy and Meredeth,Melissa and her sister. We also had a nice Sunday Dinner with Grandma Shira. Everyone had work on tuesday so we didn't see much of anyone the day we left.

Mitch, Lydibug and I went to Etown Wyoming sunday for Links baby blessing, we sure did enjoy ourselves at the Morrows house. We had a delicious dinner of pulled pork sandwhiches and a dessert of home made banana pudding!! Grandma Hill and Grandpa Hill were there too and we all got to visist. Lydibug sure enjoyed playing with her cousins!!!

On our way home we stopped at Bear Lake and took some fun pictures. Of course Lydibug had a great time throwing rocks in the water and playing in the sand.
